Scan your pages for AI-search readiness, generate AI-suggested fixes, and publish them to WordPress — with human approval built in at every step.

== Description ==

AIO Optimiser audits your WordPress posts and pages against the signals that matter for AI-search readiness (title tag, meta description, heading structure, content depth, structured data, internal linking, and more), scores each page, and explains exactly why it passed or failed each check.

From there, you can generate an AI-suggested title and meta description, or targeted content suggestions for the specific weaknesses your audit flagged — grounded in your page's actual content, with a fact-preservation check that flags any number, date, or name the AI included that it couldn't verify against your real page text.

Nothing publishes automatically. Every suggestion requires your explicit approval before it's applied, publishing checks whether the post has been edited since it was last scanned so you never silently overwrite a manual change, and every publish can be rolled back to the exact previous title and meta description with one click.

= Key features =

* Deterministic, explainable AI-readiness scoring — no black-box grading
* AI-suggested title and meta description rewrites, grounded in your real page content
* Targeted content suggestions for weak headings, thin content, missing structured data, and missing internal links
* A fact-preservation check that flags AI-suggested details it couldn't verify against your page
* One-click publish directly to your WordPress post, with automatic detection of Yoast SEO and Rank Math for the meta description field
* Staleness protection — warns before overwriting a title/description you've since edited manually
* One-click rollback to the previous title and meta description
* Human approval required at every step — nothing is ever published without you clicking Approve

= External services =

This plugin connects to the AIO Optimiser service (aiooptimiser.com) to function — it is not usable standalone. A free account (no card required) is created for you the first time you generate an API key from the AIO Optimiser dashboard.

When you connect this plugin and choose a page to track, its URL and visible page text are sent to AIO Optimiser's servers so it can be scanned and scored. Only when you click "Generate rewrite suggestion" is that page text additionally sent to OpenAI's API to produce a suggestion — scanning and scoring alone never involve OpenAI. No WordPress user account details, passwords, or unrelated site data are sent; only the content of the specific pages you choose to track.

See the [AIO Optimiser Privacy Policy](https://aiooptimiser.com/privacy) and [Terms of Service](https://aiooptimiser.com/terms) for full details, and [OpenAI's own privacy policy](https://openai.com/privacy/) for how it handles data sent to its API.

== Installation ==

5. Select the posts or pages you want to track, then run a scan.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need to pay to use this? =

No — a free account gives you a one-time grant of credits with no card required, enough to run real scans and try an AI rewrite. Paid plans add more monthly credits, more tracked pages, and higher usage limits.

= Will this publish changes to my site without me approving them first? =

No. Every AI suggestion — title/meta rewrites and content suggestions alike — requires your explicit approval before it's treated as accepted, and publishing to your live post is a separate, deliberate click after that.

= Could the AI invent facts about my page? =

Every AI-suggested title and meta description is checked against your page's real text for any number, date, or name that doesn't appear there verbatim, and flagged for your review before you approve it. This is a best-effort check, not a guarantee — always read a suggestion before approving it.

= What SEO plugins does the meta description publish to? =

Yoast SEO and Rank Math are detected automatically. If neither is active, the meta description is written to the post excerpt instead.

= What happens if I edit a page in WordPress after scanning it? =

Publishing checks whether the post has changed since it was last scanned and warns you before overwriting a more recent manual edit.
