Running a scan & understanding your score

A scan fetches the live page, extracts what's actually on it, and scores it against 8 deterministic checks — see the full list for what each one covers. Here's what happens and how to read the result.

Running a scan

Open a tracked page and click Run scan. This queues a real fetch and audit — it usually takes a few seconds, and the page updates automatically once it's done. You can re-scan any page at any time, for example after you've made changes to it.

Reading the score

The overall number out of 100 is a straight sum of the 8 individual signals, each weighted differently (title tag and meta description are worth the most at 15 points each; internal links and structured data are worth 10 each). Below the score, every signal is listed individually with its own points, a pass/fail state, and a plain-English explanation of exactly why it scored the way it did — there's nothing hidden behind the headline number.

What to do with a low score

Read the explanations for anything marked as failed — they're specific (e.g. "No meta description was found" or "Only 84 words found"), so you'll usually know immediately what needs fixing.
